Telematic request
In evidenza
The certificate of origin must be requested from the Chamber of Commerce where the applicant is located.
If the applicant is a company or an association, this is the Chamber of Commerce of its registered office or local branch.
If the applicant is a professional or a private individual, this is the Chamber of Commerce of their place of residence.
As an exception, with prior authorization from the territorially competent Chamber of Commerce, the applicant may apply to the Chamber of Commerce where the goods to be shipped abroad are located.
The Certificate of origin must only be requested electronically via Commercioestero platform, selecting the “print-it-yourself” mode.
To use the Cert’O platform, it is necessary to:
- own a digital signature device;
- register on the italianbusinessregister.it
- request access to the print-it-yourself service.
Once issued, the Certificate can be verified online through the National Database of Certificates of Origin by either scanning the Certificate's QR code or entering the Security Code and the Single National Number (Certificate ID); all three of them can be found on the Certificate.
How to obtain the requested Certificate
Certificates are issued through the Commercioestero platform. The Certificate/Visa files to be printed via the “print-it-yourself” mode will be sent either to the business Certified Email (PEC) address or to the ordinary email address indicated upon registration.
Costs and terms of payment
The issuance of the certificate of origin costs 10 euros in administrative fees.
The system will send a PDF file containing the original and the copy of the certificate of origin. The copy can be used to print all the necessary additional copies, with no extra charges. Therefore, it is not necessary to indicate the number of copies requested on the Commercioestero platform. The cost for each certification on invoices or other documents to be endorsed is 3 euros.
Payment must be made online according to one of the following methods:
- prepaid "Diritti" account on registroimprese.it, rechargeable by credit card. When sending your request, select “Pagamento con opzioni Telemaco” and the system will automatically charge the sum on registroimprese.it;
- prepaid iConto account Infocamere, rechargeable by bank transfer. When sending your request, select “Pagamento con opzioni Telemaco” and the system will automatically charge the sum on iConto;
- via PagoPA service, with a single payment for each application.

Things to know
You can request a single Certificate of origin for more than one invoice when it concerns only one customer and only one shipping. Otherwise, you will have to request a Certificate of origin for each invoice. Each Certificate is valid for only one shipping.
